EFM BERLINALE
«It all starts here» says the claim of the EFM – European Film Market in Berlin. If it is true that everything in cinema comes from the short form, it is also true that this meeting, connected to the Berlinale, is increasingly important for operators in the sector. Immediately following the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, Berlin is a great generalist festival which however reserves space for experimentation and market niches and, above all, for the discovery of talents.
The Italian Short Film Center has been present at the EFM since 2016, as a partner of the Italian Pavilion, created with the contribution of the Directorate General for Cinema and coordinated by Luce Cinecittà with the collaboration of Anica, the Ministry of Economic Development and Ice. The Italian Pavilion is located on the first floor of the Martin Gropius Bau, headquarters of the European Film Market, and it is here that those interested in the world of Italian shorts can get in touch with the Italian Short Film Center during the days of the Berlin Film Festival.
