BERLIN

BERLINALE

«It all starts here» goes the Berlin EFM (European Film Market) claim. If it is true that all filmmaking derives from the short, it is also true that this meeting point, connected to the Berlinale, is becoming more and more important for those operating in the sector. Berlin comes right after the Clermont-Ferrand festival, it is a general festival but reserves areas dedicated to experimental work and market niches and above all to discovering talent.

The Italian Short Film Center has been present at the EFM since 2016, as a partner of the Italian Pavilion, realized with the contribution of the Direzione Generale Cinema and coordinated by Luce Cinecittà in collaboration with Anica, Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico and Ice. The Italian Pavilion is located on the first floor of Martin Gropius Bau, the headquarters of the European Film Market, which is where those who are interested in the world of Italian short films will find theItalian Short Film Center during the course of the Berlin Festival.
